We believe that God desires His children to live pure lives of holiness. The Bible is clear on teaching about sexual sin including sex outside of marriage and homosexual acts. Neither heterosexual sex outside of marriage nor any homosexual act constitutes an alternate lifestyle acceptable to God. While upholding God’s standard of holiness, Ride Nature strongly affirms God’s love and redemptive power in the individual who chooses to follow Him and also the need to live an obedient and holy life as followers of Christ. I agree that as an employee and individual associated with the organization that I will refrain from and avoid any sexual impurity or sexual conduct for as long as I am associated with the organization.
We believe the Bible has made it clear that we should obey the laws of the land and avoid things that break those commandments. While some may argue and defend the use of alcohol/smoking and whether or not it is ok, we as an organization do not condemn anyone who drinks alcohol or smokes nor do we directly believe that the Bible is clear on this issue for every individual. We do however believe it is a personal decision and one that is very important for every Christian to take a stand one side or the other based on the conviction they receive from the Lord. We do believe that in a position of leadership or when you are setting an example for unbelievers and reaching out to those who are not saved, we are held to a higher standard and one that scripture is clear that we should strive to live lives above reproach and to always be on guard protecting your reputation. While we have interns, volunteers, and many youth that we are investing into on a regular basis, and as we serve a community of individuals and industry with a history of substance abuse, we ask all staff to lay down their spiritual right (as Paul says in 1 Corinthians 10:23 "all things are permissible") and to abide to our drinking/drug/smoking code of conduct.
