A GLOBAL VISION

With the goal to equip leaders globally with tools and resources for action sports ministry, the Florida headquarters is committed to reaching our local community, serving individuals in the eastern portion of the United States, and leading short-term trips/teams to equip and empower our international partners.

 

A LOCAL FOCUS

Our heartbeat has always been to bring the Gospel to the least, last, and lost…we’re just using action sports as a tool to do so. Shortly after returning from several trips out of the Country in 2010 we recognized the need for ministry right in the community we were based out of. While we were bringing the Gospel to “the ENDS” we were missing “the Jerusalem” in our backyard.

In 2010 we launched our first Bible study - “Skate Church” at the Edge skatepark in Naples, FL. Since then, we have continued to increase our local efforts to include 4 weekly Bible studies at different public skateparks, bi-weekly wakeboard ministry, surf outreach, a women’s ministry called “Shred Sisters”, mountain bike ministry, outreach to the homeless community and more!

We are still very committed to bringing the Good News to the ENDS of the earth, but we’re working as a leadership team to lead by example while using our local efforts as a tool to train others.

  • The vision was to create financial sustainability while also opening additional doors to invest into the lives of those in our community. As a result, The House of Ride Nature” was born and 2017 the doors were open.

    The downstairs features a full surf and skate shop, clothing apparel and accessories, coffee bar, and small thrift section in the back. We have a 16’ wide - 3-1/2’ tall mini ramp in the back that is available to skate any time the shop is open with a small DIY skatepark as well.

    On the second floor you’ll find our Florida team of staff and discipleship students working to train, equip, and empower leaders both locally and around the world to use action sports as a tool for ministry.

    Operating under the umbrella of our non-profit, 100% of the proceeds from all sales in The House of Ride Nature go directly to support our efforts to bring the Good News of Jesus to the ENDS of the earth.

    This shop is simple “A MEANS” to help get us there.

Our SWFL Advisory board is made up of leaders within our community both with a heart for this part of the world and a passion for the nations. In 1 Timothy chapter 3, Paul talks about the requirements and expectations of an elder. As a ministry seeking to advance the Gospel and to do so in the most Biblical way possible, we look at our advisory board in a very similar light and hold them to the same accord. This team of leaders are helping to guide and lead the Florida headquarters and our team as we serve both the community in which we exist and the region of the world we’re a part of.
